ROOM 1 - RASH BEHARI RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Rash Behari Bose (1886-1945) was an Indian independence activist who fled to Japan in 1915. He was the founder of Azad Hind Fauj.He played a crucial role in promoting India-Japan relations and mobilizing support for the Indian independence movement. Rash Behari Bose’s activities in Japan played a significant role in shaping India- Japan relations and supporting India’s struggle for independence. His legacy continues to inspire research and admiration today. The life of Rash Behari Bose is documented here. This Institute is working with the Daito Bunka University, Japan.
Exhibits include – Japanese dolls, Japanese Souvenirs, Azad Hind Govt Coin- Currency, Azad Hind Bullet, Rash Behari Bose’s Japanese books, Nakamuraya Curry packet etc.
ROOM 2 - RADHANATH SIKDAR HIMALAYAN MUSEUM
Radhanath Sikdar was an Indian mathematician who is best known for calculating the height of Mount Everest. He was the first person to calculate the height of Mount Everest, in 1852. He died in Chandernagor. His grave is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Chandannagar.
Exhibits include – Camping equipment, rare cameras, projection systems etc.
